ePortfolio supports a rapidly expanding number of health professionals’ achievement, reflection and learning.
With more than 320,000 users, ePortfolio is a flexible and a powerful tool supporting quality assurance and workforce planning activities resulting in dramatic improvements and efficiency savings over dispersed and/or paper based systems.
ePortfolio is used extensively throughout UK Medicine, as well as Pharmacy, Dentistry, and Nursing & Midwifery in Scotland.

Foundation teaching programme
The Foundation Teaching Programme
The Foundation teaching programme at Wexham Park Hospital is held on a weekly basis and is based on the Oxford Deanery Foundation School Curriculum. The programme includes simulation training in the state of the art simulation suite.
Teaching is mandatory and trainees must be released from clinical work to attend. The Teaching Programme is circulated every month via email.

Taster sessions for foundation trainees
Taster Sessions
Foundation trainees at Wexham Park Hospital are offered up to five days taster experience in departments other than their contracted rotations. This is to enable Foundation trainees get a flavour of a specialty in which they have an interest. Trainees are required to arrange the taster sessions themselves with the College Tutor of the specialty in which they wish to gain experience.
Number of taster days and application
- FY1: 5 days (maximum – taken from study leave allocation, study leave form not required, taster application form required).
- F2: 5 days (maximum – taken from study leave allocation, study leave form not required, taster application form required).
- The application form for Taster Experience is available on the Trust intranet under Support Services/Medical and Dental Education/Foundation.
- The Taster application form must be signed by the rota coordinator in the current specialty and countersigned by the College Tutor accepting/offering the taster experience.
Retrospective applications will not be considered.
