Frimley Health’s free health information event on respiratory conditions
Respiratory disease affects one in five people in the UK and is the third biggest cause of death in England after cancer and cardiovascular disease. Cases are climbing and during the past seven years, hospital admissions for lung disease have risen at three times the rate of all admissions generally.
This captivating topic will be the focus of Frimley Health’s next health information event on Tuesday 18 April 6.30-7.30pm, led by our chief of service for medicine and respiratory consultant, Dr Gareth Roberts. The free online event will explore the impact of chronic respiratory conditions and the services the Trust provides to help patients stay as healthy as possible, There will also provide advice and guidance on how people can keep their lungs in the best condition when living with a chronic Respiratory problem.
Dr Roberts will be joined by Respiratory Specialist Nurse, Sally Bustin, who will discuss the latest community services on offer for patients with COPD and other lung diseases – including the post discharge rehabilitation programme and the support provided to help patients avoid admission to hospital.
The event is open to everyone who would like to learn more about Frimley Health’s respiratory services, with an opportunity to put questions to Dr Roberts at the end of the session. Simply register for the event here.
