Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust has developed a final draft of its five-year strategy, Frimley Health 2030, aimed at delivering compassionate, effective, and modern healthcare, enhancing patient experiences, and reshaping how healthcare is delivered.
We would like to give everyone the opportunity to feedback and share their thoughts on this draft over the next few weeks, so we can ensure our final strategy is truly able to position the trust at the forefront of healthcare.
Frimley Health 2030’s vision is supported by core values that emphasise a commitment to excellence, collaboration, and a forward-looking approach. The trust has identified four strategic ambitions that will guide its efforts over the next five years.
- Satisfied patients: Our first ambition is about making every interaction meaningful. This involves effective communication, ensuring access to accurate and timely information, and co-designing and improving our services, whether closer to home or in our hospitals, so that care is integrated and seamless. We will also leverage technology to improve care communication and delivery in the future.
- Engaged people: Our second ambition centres on making Frimley Health the best place to work in the NHS. This includes fostering a compassionate culture where everyone feels heard and supported. We are committed to developing our staff and enhancing collaboration through digital tools, believing that engaged people lead to improved patient care and outcomes.
- Excellent quality: Our third ambition emphasises that quality and safety are non-negotiable. Our approach includes delivering the Right Care, in the Right Place, at the Right Time, with continuous quality improvement informed by data and evidence including the lived experience of our patients as well as the latest innovations in technology or therapies/treatments.
- Modern infrastructure: Lastly, our fourth ambition is about providing high-quality, resilient, and sustainable facilities. This includes building a state-of-the-art Frimley Park Hospital, enhancing our centre of excellence for planned care at Heatherwood Hospital or investing in Wexham Park Hospital and community sites. We aim to be a digital leader in healthcare while being mindful of our responsibilities regarding Environmental and Social Governance (ESG)- addressing our carbon emissions, improving our environments, and reducing waste.
The launch of our Frimley Health 2030 draft strategy comes at a time when the NHS faces significant challenges, including long waiting lists and staffing shortages. However, the trust has a strong reputation for delivering results despite these pressures. With 13,500 dedicated staff members, Frimley Health is determined to make meaningful changes that put our patients and our people at the heart of its mission.
To complement this, we will also develop a clinical strategy as well as a series of supporting strategies, further detailing how we plan to achieve our objectives. The commitment to engaging with patients, staff, and partners throughout this process underpins Frimley Health’s dedication to creating a healthcare system that meets the evolving needs of its community.
We invite all feedback on this draft strategy as we move forward together, please take a few minutes to share your thoughts either via our feedback form or by emailing our strategy team.
