Kerry Gospel, Frimley Health’s Armed Forces Covenant lead, has been nominated for the ‘Advocate of the Year’ award at the British Ex-Forces in Business Awards – the world’s largest celebration of veterans in second careers.
Kerry served in the armed forces for 28 years and now works for the Trust supporting veterans and serving soldiers among our patients and staff.
He said: “My work focuses on enhancing veterans’ patient experience to ensure no one is disadvantaged due to their service, alongside promoting staff and seeking to recruit from the talented pool of service leavers we have in the local community.
“They are an experienced demographic with transferable skills that can enhance our workforce. I am incredibly grateful for the nomination and hope that it will work to further highlight the community I am proud to be a part of.”
Kerry is one of 12 shortlisted in his category, with the winner set to be announced at a glitzy ceremony in London on 29 June.
