Hot on the heels of our QiC dermatology wins last month, Frimley Park’s diabetes team has taken first place at the Quality in Care (QiC) Diabetes Awards for their entry for #insulinsafetyweek2023.  

The aim of the awards, that took place on 14 October at Sanofi’s UK offices in Reading, are to recognise, reward and share innovative practice which demonstrates quality on diabetes management, education and services for people with diabetes and/or their families.  

Receiving this QiC award means that their entry for insulin safety week has been recognised as improving the quality of life for people living with diabetes by patients, NHS and the industry. 

Claire Henke, diabetes nurse consultant and three of her diabetes specialist nurses; Faye Soden, Sheila Burmiston and Vicky Riley (pictured), attended the event to collect their award. Claire says; “I was very proud to be part collecting this award with some of my lovely team. Despites all the current pressures we are under, all the girls went that extra mile to provide education to our staff, to promote the safe use of insulin in some very innovative ways!"
