In time there will be some 150-200 nursing associates in the trust, helping to ensure the right skill mix of nursing staff in clinical areas for the best patient care. Taking a hike for stroke patients

Staff from Frimley Park Hospital, along with their supporters, are taking on the Thames Path walk on 23 June to raise money for the hospital charity’s Stroke Appeal. Six teams are each going to walk a 30-mile section of the route, covering a total of 184 miles from the source of the Thames to the Thames Barrier. Each team has pledged to raise at least £1,000 in sponsorship for the Appeal.

Volunteers from Slough Samaritans have begun working alongside doctors and nurses in Wexham Park Hospital’s emergency department (ED) to offer support to patients and staff. The Samaritan volunteers are on hand fortnightly on Monday evenings to provide emotional support and comfort to anyone who needs it.
