Additional support for your visit FAQs
NHS 111 can help if you think you need medical help right now.
Urgent care centres
Urgent care centres can help when it's not a life threatening emergency. Our area has urgent care centres at Brants Bridge in Bracknell, and Priors Close in Slough.
Check opening times and find out if you need an appointment before visiting.
If you call 111 you may also be directed to get urgent care at Frimley Park Hospital.
999 is for life-threatening emergencies like serious road traffic accidents, strokes and heart attacks.
A&E (accident and emergency) is for serious injuries and life-threatening emergencies. There are A&E departments at our two acute hospitals, Frimley Park and Wexham Park. We sometimes call this department ED (emergency department).
