Our service aims to help individuals manage the emotional and psychological impact of living through physical health challenges and to support healthcare teams to meet these needs with individuals they care for.

Our team consists of registered practitioner psychologists, including clinical psychologists, clinical neuropsychologists, counselling psychologists, sports and exercise psychologists, health psychologists and lived experience practitioners. We also host placements for trainee clinical psychologists who are undertaking their clinical psychology doctorate at the University of Surrey. 

Our clinical health psychology service in the Trust is currently funded to provide services in the following areas:

  • Community neurology
  • Stroke (Frimley Park Hospital only- inpatients, outpatient, early stroke discharge)
  • Complex elderly care (Farnham Hospital inpatient only)
  • Chronic pain (outpatient)
  • Cystic fibrosis (inpatient and outpatient)
  • Critical care rehabilitation
  • Cancer (nurse training and supervision)
  • Cardiac disease risk management (outpatient)

Accessing our clinical health psychology services differs according to the different clinical specialties in which we work.

Please note, direct referral to clinical health psychology is not possible.
