David is an experienced general diagnostic and interventional radiologist, and has been a consultant since 2003, serving as clinical lead for radiology from 2010- 2016, and lead for interventional radiology 2010-2022
Dr Maudgil performs a wide range of diagnostic and interventional procedures. He sits on national committees and teaches on courses.
David is an associate editor for Clinical Radiology.
He is regional chair and member of the faculty board for the Royal College of Radiologists
Areas of interest:
Diagnostic uroradiology including CT urogram, MRI prostate and penile, US penile doppler
Interventional uroradiology including nephrostomy, JJ stent, PCNL, varicocele embolisation;
Vascular imaging and intervention (including angiography, vascular access such as ports, Hickman and PICC lines), and fibroid (uterine artery) embolisation;
Biopsy and drainage procedures including placement of permanent drains such as Rocket drains;
Musculoskeletal imaging and intervention including joint injections, nerve root blocks;
Lumbar puncture and CT myelogram
Cardiac CT (level 2 accredited)
