Professional background

Dr Manjula Meda completed medical training in 1998. She undertook training in Clinical Microbiology and virology at St. George's hospital rotation, London. She also has a Diploma in Hospital Infection Control from London school of hygiene and tropical medicine and a PhD from the University of Surrey.

She has been working on the position of a consultant in Clinical Microbiology and Infection prevention and control since 2009 and in Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust (FHFT) since 2014. She is the Infection control doctor for FHFT and also is the current elected Chair of the Healthcare Infection Society (HIS: his.org.uk) since Nov 2024.
