I have worked in the NHS for almost 30years, in various roles, my main background is in critical care and acute medicine and since 2008 I have worked in the field of Sleep and Ventilation. I have worked with NCEPOD and NICE on several projects related to sleep and ventilation. I am the Co-chair for the OSA Alliance and Vice Chair elect for the Association of Respiratory Nurses. My current role involves managing patients with obstructive sleep apnoea and the provision of CPAP therapy as well as supporting patients with more complex resiratory needs through the use of non-invasive ventilation. That includes patients with neuromuscular disease such as motor neurone disease, respiratory disease such as COPD, and obesity hypoventilation amongst others.
