Mr Raafat started his career in the UK in 2003 and undertook specialist training in the London Deanery. In the last 3 years of his training, he received advanced training in Minimal Access Surgery (MAS)
In his current NHS post, he is THE MAS and endometriosis lead for Gynaecology & the Clinical Governance Lead. He is a senior member in the Trust’s Gynae-Oncology service.
Mr Raafat provides specialist Laparoscopic advanced Endometriosis and complex Gynaecological Cancer surgery and medical management. He Also runs Rapid Access, Outpatient Hysteroscopy and Colposcopy clinics. He runs Antenatal clinic services at Wexham Park Hospital.
He conducts Menopausal clinic services including yearly surveillance privately . He also provides comprehensive advise about BRCA gene mutation and offers risk reduction surgery for ovarian cancer.
Mr Raafat introduced Robotic Gynaecological surgery at Wexham Park Hospital in 2012.
Mr Raafat offers his patients cutting edge surgical procedures and medical management to treat a variety of Gynaecological conditions. He considers each consultation as an opportunity to explore treatment options which empower his patients to take control of their health.
