Professional background
Mr Desai is dual fellowship trained and has a wide-ranging experience in treating complex shoulder and elbow issues.
He undertook his orthopaedic training in the Surrey and Sussex region, then completed his first fellowship at the highly esteemed South West Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC) in Epsom, Surrey. Mr Desai went on to train at the internationally renowned Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore.
Mr Desai's area of expertise lies in the treatment of shoulder and elbow pathologies for patients of all ages. This includes rotator cuff injuries, shoulder and elbow instability, frozen shoulder, shoulder replacements and tennis elbow. He is proficient in advanced keyhole surgery techniques and employs modern surgical techniques, as well as implants, to ensure optimal outcomes for his patients.
Additionally, Mr Desai specialises in both upper limb and general trauma cases.
He believes in a shared decision-making approach and prioritises educating patients to ensure they fully understand their condition and make informed decisions for their treatment.
