Frimley Health offers a comprehensive, consultant-led gynaecology service to help patients suffering from disorders and diseases of the female reproductive system. 

Our gynaecology department includes dedicated early pregnancy units for pregnant women experiencing problems in early pregnancy (e.g. pain and bleeding), an emergency gynaecology clinic, a 'one-stop' two week rule clinic and a well established, high quality colposcopy service for patients with abnormal smear reports.

We also offer the following specialist clinics:

• Fertility, with some clinics offering a ‘one-stop’ service including scanning
• Oncology, with a nurse specialist available for support
• Rapid access postmenopausal bleeding, providing a one stop clinic with scanning before the appointment.
• Urogynaecology, with a nurse-led urodynamics service
• Vulval clinic, run in partnership with the dermatology department

Recent service developments include ambulatory gynaecology, particularly outpatient hysteroscopy for treating abnormal uterine bleeding.

Our hospitals at Frimley Park, Heatherwood and Wexham Park offer a range of inpatient procedures such as hysterectomy, and prolapse repair operations; and a range of short stay and day case procedures such as endometrial resection, Novasure and laparoscopic work.

Inpatients are cared for on a dedicated gynaecology ward at Frimley Park and there is an increasing emphasis on short stay and day case surgery with considerable expertise in laparoscopic surgery and the development of robotic surgery. At Wexham Park we have 21 gynaecology beds on Ward 20. Gynaecology patients at Heatherwood are cared for on Ward 1.
