Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a specialist programme of exercise and education to support people diagnosed with a chronic lung condition such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, bronchiectasis and interstitial disease.

Watch the video about how our classes benefit those living with a long term lung condition:

See the FHFT community respiratory team vimeo channel for more videos.

Our course is made for everyone and tailored to your needs.  The sessions will help you cope with breathlessness, improve your fitness levels, and give you a better understanding of your condition.

Pulmonary rehabilitation is one of the best things you can do to improve your breathing and wellbeing. It also reduces the frequency exacerbations (flare-ups) and helps you stay well and out of hospital. Other benefits include:

3 boxes: A heart image with "Normal day to day activities such as showering, hanging out the washing, walking, or gardening will become easier. Regular exercise helps to reverse the cycle of inactivity and make exercise a part of your daily routine. " A brain image with "Pulmonary rehabilitation helps you to manage your lung condition, by providing valuable information such as breathing techniques, using your medications, and strategies for conserving your energy." And a symbol representing connection between people with: "It is also a great opportunity to meet others with a lived experience of chronic lung disease, which fosters friendships, gives a sense of belonging and connection to a supportive, understanding community. "
