Staff survey
Speak up and make your voice heard. It’s the best way to help us make Frimley Health a great place to work.
We want to work with you to put in place meaningful actions in response to annual and quarterly staff surveys. We also want to better understand how our leaders can work with you making that the plans we put in place to improve are focused on the right things, at the right time.
The National Quarterly Pulse Survey (NQPS) is live between Monday 3 July and Monday 31 July and helps us understand progress against the annual National Staff Survey (NSS) The short survey will be provided via e-mail or can be accessed via QR code.
All staff are encouraged to share their views to help ensure that improvement effort is focused in the right areas at the right time.
The anonymous survey is accessible via the link provided in an e-mail by our survey partner, Picker, but if you miss the first link you will receive reminders. Also, look out for flyers that contain a QR code for you to access the survey using your own smart device.
Does anything stop you from completing our national or quarterly staff surveys?

Directorate VIP and VIP awards
Speak up and make your voice heard. It’s the best way to help us make Frimley Health a great place to work.
Do you know a member of the Frimley Health team who has gone above and beyond expectations to help you or a loved one? Would you welcome the chance to praise them and show your appreciation?
We present awards to nominated staff who have shown exceptional dedication to our shared Trust values: committed to excellence, working together and facing the future.
And our long-standing Values into Practice (ViP) awards have been expanded, enabling our directorates to celebrate outstanding work within their own departments and teams.
The directorate awards run on alternate months with the winners going forward to our main ViP awards, which are presented every other month at our public board meetings.
The nomination page for the ViP awards is on our website.

Culture leadership programme
We’re embarking on an exciting journey to better understand leadership at our Trust.
We know that we need to do some work on our culture – to help us transform into a truly unified one Frimley Health. And we need your help to do that because to be a high performing organisation, we need to be led by our people and our leaders.
We’re starting off with a discovery phase that will allow us to hear from you and get your thoughts on leadership at Frimley Health. The survey will be available from 6 July until the end of the month.

We’ll also be holding some staff focus groups and patient and partner listening events that will help us to understand what we do well and importantly, what changes we need to make to improve.
We’ll be working alongside NHSEngland and of course, we will be doing all the work the Frimley Excellence way.
What changes can leaders make to the way they work with you to achieve the biggest positive impact on our culture? -
Equality, diversity and inclusion
The EDI team works closely with the Leadership Development and Wellbeing teams to mainstream inclusion in all that we do. As a result, numerous initiatives have been put in place.
These include:
- Celebrating notable events to symbolise our commitment to inclusion. E.g. Pride Month, Black History Month, Disability History Month
- Setting up four People Networks to amplify the power of difference in the organisation. Our current networks are Women of the World, The Rainbow Network, Disability and Carers and the BAME forum.
- Launching the Rainbow Charter at the end of June – contact deborah.rogers@nhs.net for more information.
- Launching Sunflower Rainbow Lanyards as visible signs of inclusive practice
- Piloting and adopting Reciprocal Mentoring as part of our Learning offer
- Incorporating ‘Changing Places on to our sites, providing fully accessible toilets for people with multiple disabilities, promoting dignity and respect.
What one thing could we do to be more inclusive at Frimley Health?
