As a large acute and community provider, it is vital for us to shape our services in a way that meets the needs of our patients and community. The new Heatherwood Hospital has been designed to deliver planned care more efficiently, in a much-improved patient environment, built for modern needs.
Specialising in planned, non-emergency operations for orthopaedics, plastics, ophthalmology and lithotripsy, this dedicated, state-of-the-art facility uses the latest technology to deliver outstanding services. Outpatient services include gynaecology, urology, cardiology and orthopaedics, which are supported by endoscopy, physiotherapy, phlebotomy and radiology (CT, mammography, MRI, x-ray and ultrasound).
Replacing the old Heatherwood building, which has stood in Ascot for a century, our new hospital has six operating theatres, 48 in-patient beds, 22 day-case procedure rooms or ‘pods’ and two endoscopy rooms, providing operations, diagnostics and outpatient care to both NHS and private patients across Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey.
