Frimley Health is committed to making sure the privacy, dignity and safety of everyone is protected.
All patients can have someone with them if they wish during appointments such as:
- Consultations
- Examinations
- Investigations
- Clinical recordings
- This person can be a family member, friend or carer.
- There may be times when the accompanying person is asked to leave an area (during X-rays or other treatments for example) but staff will explain this to you.
- You may sometimes prefer a member of staff to be with you (a chaperone). Please request this when you book your appointment if you can, so arrangements can be made before your appointment.
- When this isn't possible we will try to provide a chaperone at the time of request. Sometimes we may need to re-book your appointment at a later date.
- Staff members may also need another staff member to be there as a chaperone for certain consultations, examinations or procedures in line with our policy. You can still have your relative, friend or carer with you.
