We’re improving public wi-fi across the Trust, upgrading to a new, fast and secure network that provides seamless coverage.

We will be switching the existing Wi-Fi over to a new network. The new network will have the same name as the current network – ‘NHS Wi-Fi’.

To connect to the new Wi-Fi, you'll need to register again with your details.

How to connect to new NHS Wi-Fi

  1. Select NHS Wi-Fi from the list of available networks

On an Android device:

  • Click ‘Sign in to NHS Wi-Fi’
  • At the ‘Register for free NHS Wi-Fi’ page, tick to agree to terms & conditions, then click on ‘login’ button.

On an Apple (IOS) device:

  • At the ‘Register for free NHS Wi-Fi’ page, tick to agree to terms & conditions, then click on ‘login’ button.
  1. Choose ‘I’m ok with analytic cookies’ or ‘do not use analytics cookies’.
  2. You should see a message saying ‘you’re now online’.On this page there is the option to join hospital radio.
  3. You should now be connected.

Security information

  • Please be aware of security when using public Wi-Fi networks and take care with the information you share over the network.
  • To keep your device secure, regularly update your devices' software. Use strong, unique passwords, and consider enabling extra security features.
  • Please be cautious about clicking on links or downloading attachments from unknown sources. 

  • How to 'forget’ and reset the network from your Android device
    • Open device settings and go to 'connections' or 'wifi'.
    • Click/tap on the 'NHS Wi-Fi' option.
    • Click 'forget' (look for the bin icon).
    • If the 'forget' option isn't there- open settings (cog icon) first- you should then see the 'forget' option.
    • You can now add the new network and register
  • No internet connection
    If you get a message saying ‘no internet connection’ and are not automatically directed to the login page, please open a browser such as chrome and go to ‘Example.com’.  This will force the connection page to appear and you should be able to log in.

  • How to 'forget’ and reset the network
    • Open settings
    • Go to Wi-Fi
    • Tap NHS Wi-Fi
    • Tap the (i) button next to NHS Wi-Fi
    • Tap forget this networ
    • Tap forget on the pop-up saying "Forget Wi-Fi Network ‘NHS Wi-Fi"
    •  You can now add the new network and register.
  • No internet connection
    If you get a message saying ‘no internet connection’ and are not automatically directed to the login page, please open a browser such as safari and go to ‘Example.com’.  This will force the connection page to appear and you should be able to log in.
